About Mika
Mika arrived from Puerto Rico with her travel companions, and we are delighted to have this bundle of happiness. Mika is a Sato dog which is a street or beach dog from Puerto Rico. The Sato refers to a variety of small to medium-sized stray dog. Satos are similar in appearance to small Pointers or Terriers. These free-ranging dogs are known to make excellent family pets. Unlike other feral dogs, the Satos have a small territory, and many are always in contact with people. Mika was referred to as a Labrador/Plott Hound mix by the veterinarians who vetted her in Puerto Rico. Whatever she is, she sure is sweet. Mika is described by the folks who cared for her at Punta Santiago who rescued her as "amazing with dogs of all sizes, super people friendly, and having no food aggression." She is very happy and friendly and will make a perfect lap dog for some lucky family. Mika is approximately a year old and cat tolerant with supervision. We are looking for an adoptive family or foster home. Mika's adoption fee is $500.
