About Nala

Meet Nala — a stunning, plush-coated 4-year-old German Shepherd with the kind of soft fur you can't stop touching and the kind of heart that just wants to belong. Nala is happy, friendly, and deeply affectionate. She leans in for pets, lights up when you talk to her, and absolutely thrives on human connection. Nala was surrendered because she kept digging out of the yard she was left in for long stretches of time. And honestly? That tells us more about her need for companionship than anything else. German Shepherds are loyal, intelligent working dogs. They are not backyard ornaments. Nala doesn't want to escape — she wants to be included. She will need work on leash manners, but she's a quick learner and eager to please. With consistency and positive training, she's going to shine. She's smart, tuned in, and clearly wants direction. Nala is looking for an adopter who understands the Shepherd mindset — someone who will give her structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and most importantly, time together. She doesn't need a bigger fence. She needs a deeper bond. At four years old, she's past the baby puppy phase but still young, vibrant, and ready for her real forever home. We don't know yet how she is with kids, but with her puppy like energy she may accidentally knock over smaller kids so a home with kids over 10 would be the best fit .
