About Acappela

This is Acappela, meaning "in chapel style". Without accompaniment, brave, bold, raw. Acappela they called her adoptable - or rather, they didn't. Not yet. Not until she wagged at the right time, sate when asked to, didn't bark too much, didn't cower too low. They didn't see the milk still in her body, or the ghosts of her puppies - given away or gone. She doesn't know where they are or where she is. All she knows is that everything smells wrong, it's loud, and no-one speaks her language here.... Thankfully on Acappela's journey here at the shelter, she has turned corners again and again. She has gotten braver. She wags her tail. She "smiles". She has shown she wants to be friends with everyone and even little dogs. She's a good girl. She needs the chance to show someone special that she's a great girl.
