Ryder-Girl has been waiting for a home for

Since March 17, 2026

About Ryder-Girl

Ryder was saved from a high-kill shelter in Calfornia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Wednesday 3rd August. We post our available dogs in states across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs — families must come to the meet and greet location in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine to meet and, hopefully, take home their new best friend. Health & Background āœ… Spayed āœ… Rabies and core vaccines up to date āœ… On monthly flea/tick preventatives āœ… Microchipped āš–ļø Weight: 50-60 pounds Estimated DoB: 30 March 2025 Give a Dog a Home Rescue suffered a devastating fire on 20 January 2026 losing the house and operations center of the rescue. Fortunately the kennel building was not affected by the fire, however, access to water and septic was lost making the kennels not useable. Many people stepped up to foster and a boarding and day care kennels in Bangor also reached out to offer to take some dogs and they took Ryder and her friends Clara Belle and Cruz. They have been at the boarding kennels since the end of January and have been doing great, the staff love having them saying they are wonderful and sweet, they have met children and have been great around them, they are well mannered and ride great in the car. Ryder Girl can be shy initially, but when she warms up she is full of affection. She is a sweet love bug, she loves to wrestle and chase with her friends and then snuggle up or hang out when they need to recharge their batteries. With an active family he would thrive. What Ryder Needs ‍ā™€ļø An active family that can meet her physical and mental exercise needs Mental stimulation and enrichment — structure, toys, puzzles, and engaging activities ļø High-quality food and treats to keep her healthy and energized Regular veterinary wellness checks for preventive care and long-term health ā¤ļø Time to adjust and feel safe — patience to decompress and build trust Adoption Details Adoption Fee: $550 Location: Sebec, Maine Families must complete and submit an adoption questionnaire. Once approved, you'll be invited to schedule an appointment to meet Ryder. ā±ļø Applications are generally processed within 24-48 hours Click here to complete the Adoption Questionnaire Want to See More of RYDER?
