If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, and easygoing companion, Quincy is your guy. This handsome black Lab mix is the full package — sweet, calm, and ready to be part of your family. Quincy is wonderful with kids and and other dogs. He's affectionate and cuddly, happiest lounging on the couch or stretching out at your feet. He's the perfect “lap dog in a big dog body” — equally content to relax inside or hang out in the yard soaking up the sunshine. This boy would do best with a confident, responsible owner who understands protective dogs. He is naturally watchful and will alert you if someone comes onto or into your property, making him a great deterrent and loyal companion. He is very loving and affectionate with his owners, bonding closely to his people. However, he is not a fan of guests and should be crated when visitors are present to keep everyone comfortable and safe. Even though he is good with kids( he lived with a family with 2 young children for a month), he should be adopted to a home without children.
