About June Carter

June Carter June Carter has been with us since she was rescued as a tiny 5-week-old pup from the Wind River Reservation. She has grown into a gentle, cautious soul who bonds deeply with women and thrives when she feels safe and understood. June doesn't trust men and will not do well in a household with them, but with the right woman she becomes affectionate, playful, and loyal. She adores snowy adventures, quiet outdoor play, and the company of other dogs and cats. Because she is shy and takes time to warm up, we're looking for a local foster-to-adopt home where she can adjust at her own pace. June lives with hip dysplasia, which is managed with daily supplements, and she will need a securely fenced yard for her active spirit. She is crate-trained, eager to learn, and does best in calm, structured environments. June's perfect match is a single female adopter who will give her patience, consistency, and the chance to blossom into the loving companion she truly is.
