About Susie

Meet Susie! Susie is finally available for adoption and ready to find a home that truly understands her. She's a quirky, loving girl who thrives when she's the center of attention — and frankly, she deserves it. Her ideal home would be one without other animals, or at least with very few other dogs. Susie is unpredictable and a bit stubborn when it comes to canine companions, and she currently requires close supervision around other dogs. That said, she does have a soft spot for one special buddy — a little blind pup in her foster home — and the two have formed a hilarious, heartwarming wrestling duo. It's safe to say Susie's inner circle is selective but strong. With people, Susie is affectionate and loyal. She loves her humans and enjoys snuggles and attention. However, she has recently shown some protective behavior in the home — barking at visitors (even familiar ones) as if she's auditioning for a role as head of home security. A calm, patient family who understands that behavior and can support her through it would be the best fit. Susie will absolutely shine in the right home — ideally one where she can be the star of the show, soak up all the love, and live life on her own fabulous terms. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current with all vaccines (as appropriate for her age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. Susie is currently being fostered in South Carolina.
