About Maximus

Maximus is a high-energy boy seeking a GSD experienced home! Max has the most beautiful amber colored eyes, a rarer feature for GSDs. He is 80 lbs and current with all vaccinations, including heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Max lives with his foster family who has two children, ages 3 and 6 years, and two other dogs, ages 2 and 11 years. He is crate and potty trained. Max does well with children, but due to his energy and size he can be a bit much for smaller children. We would only recommend him to families with small children who have prior GSD experience and understand the commitment to training. In multi dog households, separate feeding time and space for Max is suggested. He has zero food aggression but will eat other dog's food if given a chance. Max does well on car rides, and has enjoyed going to pet stores. Max does well with visitors in the house but can be a bit jumpy at times. Max responds well to correction, walks fairly well on leash. We do not recommend him in a house with small dogs or cats.
