Meet Oreo, a handsome, happy-go-lucky 4-year-old, 94 lb Great Pyrenees / Lab mix who brings the perfect blend of outdoor enthusiasm and indoor calm. Outside, Oreo loves to stretch his legs, run, play, and explore—whether he has playmates or is entertaining himself, a securely fenced in yard is a must for this big boy. Inside, he shifts gears into a much more relaxed companion who's content to share the couch with you or another dog. He's a big boy, so his joyful tail wags can be powerful, but they're full of love. Oreo is a wonderful greeter and delights in welcoming you home with excitement and affection. He happily soaks up all the attention you'll give and, if you let him, will gladly curl up beside you at night. He knows “no,” “down,” and “sit,” though sitting outside takes him a moment—he's just so eager to enjoy the outdoors. He's fully housetrained and crate-friendly, especially if he's offered a chew toy; once he's settled in, he naps contentedly. This lovable giant gets along beautifully with visitors of all sizes and is respectful of cats—he's quickly learned that claws mean business. While not a watchdog, he makes up for it with his friendly charm. Oreo does pull on the leash and can get excited about chasing cars, wildlife, or ATVs, so he'll benefit from continued guidance/training and safe spaces to run. Car rides aren't his favorite yet, but with a seatbelt strap and reassurance, he manages just fine. Oreo would thrive in a country setting, a home with property, or an active household that can give him room to play and enjoy life. He's incredibly sweet and gentle at heart, but due to his size and enthusiasm, he'd do best in a home without small children or elderly individuals who could be knocked over accidentally.
